In this day and age, we want everything instantly.

We want our clothes delivery to be here the next day,

We want our career to reach pinnacle in just 1 year,

We want our weight to drop down after a week of training.

Instead of wishing the process away and just wanting the end result now, enjoy the process because there is no set “end result”.

Let us say Jane wants to lose 8lbs in 12 weeks and after 12 week she has actually lost 10lbs, which is amazing. What happens afterwards? Does she just resort back her old habits?

No, Jane continues to create healthy choices and now has a new goal. Being healthy and being fit is not a destination, being healthy is not the same as getting off at Kings Cross.

You can create sustainable changes which lead to a healthy life

or

You can create short term changes that you cannot stick to and then resort back to once you have reached your goal (or your destination).

If you hate running for example do not run, find something you enjoy, like going to the gym, playing badminton, or going to a spin class.

If you hate something you will do not want to do it long term.

Josh.
