Coke vs Coke Zero

‘Diet’ drinks or ‘zero sugar’ drinks come under a lot of scrutiny and I really do not understand why. The negatives of zero sugar drinks do not come close to the negatives of sugar drinks, for example type 2 diabetes.

0 calories is better than 140 calories (comparing Coke Zero and Coke). If you enjoy something sweet of an evening and it contains 0 calories why is that bad? It is artificial and I would not recommend consuming them heavily, but as a numbers game 0 always wins against 140!
“Artificial sweeteners are bad for you” – The main ingredient in low or zero sugar drinks is typically aspartame which is an artificial sweetener. Yes, this can be dangerous is high dosages, by high dosages I mean x20 cans per day.
Side note: There is 0 fat in Coke, stop calling it ‘full fat Coke’.
To conclude this semi-rant, zero calorie or zero sugar drinks are an excellent replacement for sugary drinks, just do not over consume just like you would with everything else.
Personal favourite drink is Dr. Pepper Zero 👌🏼
Stay safe,
Josh
